About Todd Lands
Todd Lands is a lifelong, third-generation resident of Cloverdale who has dedicated much of his life to public service and community involvement.
Beginning his career in law enforcement, Todd spent ten years as a Sonoma County Deputy Sheriff. Todd held a variety of assignments, including as a correctional officer, mental health officer, training officer, bailiff and SWAT team entry and sniper.
After his career in law enforcement, Todd went on to start his own business, Todd Lands Construction (TLC), which is based out of Cloverdale.
In 2012, Todd’s journey in public service began when he was elected to serve as a Trustee of the Cloverdale Unified School District. At that time, the district was in dire financial straits and on the verge of being taken over by the state. Working with his colleagues and the community, Todd was able to help turn things around, ensuring academic excellence, campus safety, and the long-term fiscal health of the school district.
Elected to the Cloverdale City Council on 2020, Todd has been a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, public safety, and quality of life. Throughout his time as Mayor, Cloverdale has consistently remained a regional leader on a number of key issues. A testament to his ability to bring people together and find consensus, Todd has been chosen by his colleagues to serve as Mayor for four consecutive terms.
